Associate Material Management Engineer

Fastnet Bio specializes in GMP-compliant consumable (single use and raw material) programs for biopharmaceutical clients, focusing on design, qualification, supply chain, and sustainability. This entry-level engineering role supports material management activities for clients, including specification, procurement, and qualification to ensure fast, flexible, and cost-effective delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design: Assist in the design of new processes and materials.
  • Qualification: Support the qualification of new materials.
  • Supply chain: Support the introduction of new materials and BOM development.
  • Project Management and Client interaction: Interface with client and ensure projects are delivered on time. Assist in material specification development, procurement support, and dual sourcing for single-use components to optimize supply chain efficiency.​
  • Work as part of a team and report into a lead to progress the project.

Qualifications and Skills
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or related field. Basic knowledge of biopharma manufacturing and GMP preferred.​
  2. Familiarity with GMP design, qualification, supply chain or materials preferred.
  3. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in tools like Excel for data tracking
  4. Proactive attitude and solutions-oriented mindset approach to work.
  5. Strong communication skills and presentation skills.
